What a Beauty! Orange County/Portland Senior/Family Photographer

How did I get so lucky once again?  For my first senior photo session I get this beauty?  How did I manage that?  I mean every single photo was stunning!  I had a hard time giving her the 40 photos that is part of my pricing and package.. so I gave her 90+. She started off shy.. but of course I cracked a few jokes and talk about silly things got her comfortable and then 15 minutes in she was modeling like she was on "America's next top model". It was awesome!  Again, I have the coolest clients who just let me do my thing and follow direction so well and added her own spark... that combo makes amazing photos!  This session was early morning right after the fog lifted it was that early.  The light was sweet... looks like I will be adding early mornings to be session slots in the near future. I can stare and her photos all day (sound creepy) ok not in a creepy way :)  But the level of professionalism and maturity that this young lady has at such a young age will take her very far and successful in whatever she choses to pursue!  Good luck and please enjoy your senior year!


Holy Cuteness!!!! Orange County/Portland Family and Children Photography


Wow!! Really!! How cute is this family?  Every photo gets cuter and cuter by the frame. I keep saying this over and over again I'm very lucky and spoiled to take photos of beautiful people.  Not only did 95% of their session photos turned out awesome.... they where awesome!  They listened and took my suggestions when it came to clothing, match... but not too matchy at the same time. They took direction and trusted me and let me take the creative lead the whole way.  They were a model family for a family session.  Most husbands and fathers aren't big on taking photos, but you would never know that this father was camera shy! He was great and it shows on the photos! The location was perfect, the weather was warm, but had a cool sweet breeze and the light... let me tell you about the long lasting Portland light!  It doesn't get dark there til like 830pm!  While regardless of our location, this family would have taken great photos no matter what because they were opened minded, took great direction and mostly had a good time!  That is the secret to a successful session!

Mama to be the second time around is so photogenic first of all.  Her beauty reminds me of a throwback 70's model.  You know the kind that doesn't need a lot of makeup, eat more than just ice cubes and has that natural kind of beauty?  Well she has exactly that and you will notice that beauty I'm taking about throughout this post.  And I have never had a session that almost all photos looked great in black and white!  And her son is one of cutest and most behaved model I have ever had.  He is so sweet and every expressions that he gave me was amazing even when he didn't smile (those are my faves).  I could take his photos of him daily :) She will be expecting a baby girl here shortly to which will complete her family. I am so excited for her family and I know that baby girl will be spoiled rotten!












Arriving soon baby Arabella: Orange County Event/Family Photographer

What a sweet, private and intimate baby shower for baby girl Arabella. It was held in a trendy, chic yet rustic place called the Seventh Tea bar in the SoCo shopping center in Costa Mesa.  This shower was girly girl, filled with specialty teas, tea sandwiches, handmade treats and centerpieces fitting for the future diva!  Love the lavender and purple hues that blanket the small private room.  Even all the guest wore alike colors to celebrate Arabella.  Mama to be for the second time around was glowing and beaming the entire time!  I love how the colors pop throughout these photos...the colors of joy and excitement. Since the venue's outside garden reminded me of France I wanted to edited some of the photos with a sepia vintage feel and I loved how it turned out!  I am so excited for baby Arabella, not only to take endless photos of her, but it fills my heart with joy that she will have such an amazing person as her mother! 












Shower her with love: Orange County wedding/event photographer


To me bridal showers are meant to spent with ladies who are near and dear to you.  And those were exactly the ladies that surrounded this lovely bride!  The will wed her best friend and the love of her life in a little over two months. Not only will she be man and wife, but she will become a wonderful stepmother to two amazing young ladies. The girly garden setting was the perfect backdrop for photos!  The light that peeked through 100 year old oak trees made an amazing soft box and resulted in vivid photos! Every single lady there was beautiful, but was not match the glowing BRIDE!  Here are a few of the of my FAV photos from that day!

Yes!!!! The holidays are coming up and this is my debut year and I will be offering Holiday Sessions!
Sessions will be kept to a handful at each locations to provide YOU my undivided attention and amazing photos! I thought about offering "mini sessions", but I don't know if that will benefit you as my clients.  It's hard to get to know a family in 20-30 minutes so not only did I put together holiday rates but I'm offering an hour session as my "MINI" sessions

Ringo: Orange County Children and Family Photographer

How cute is this little guy? Really??? Again, I'm just so lucky to photograph the cutest kids and family. His name is Ringo... yes Ringo from the Beatles!  All we need is love, is what bounces at me the entire time during this family session. What a cute young couple they are, first time parents and afraid to death of making mistakes (as I was). But, cry baby cry is not what they did or going to do.  Garrick and Michelle are two strong parents that will do everything across the universe to take care of him.  But, baby you're a rich man when love surrounds you! I love this location... I have used it twice in the past month. Yes, it dry and brown, but when the light hits each blade of grass and bounces back with rays of gold it so worth it like strawberry fields forever.  They are day tripper of a family so they were up for any location. Garrick and Michelle are busy and hard working parents so I wanted to capture candid moments of just them two together as if its their first date. I let it be when it came to post production of the images, I wanted the natural light/haze/vintage look to stay true.  I love these images and this family and I'm excited to capture more moments in the near future!

Long awaited baby girl: Orange county family photography

There is something about babies girls... it is the wide range of beautiful sweet clothing options?  Sweet hair bows, shoes, dresses and etc? Or is it because she is like your mini me?  Well I think its all the above and more.  Don't get me wrong I love baby boys too, but having two girls and playing dress up is so magical!  Well this mama is awaiting her baby girl and she is over the moon. She may be flat broke by the time baby reaches a year old from purchasing all the girly things, but it is so worth it! I can't get enough of these dreamy rolling hills and field images.  Its just sweet, vintage, golden and a touch of romance.  Her purple dress pops among the muted grass which also brings out her amazing skin and complexion.  I love this location and the light is so yummy.  But the best part of this session was my client, she was up for anything even getting down on the ground to get the perfect shot! We got lots of great shots, but the first one is by far my favorite!  Can't wait to meet and photograph her little girl in a few months! 




Sweet Love: Orange County Engagement Photography

Oh sweet, sweet love, nothing can compare!  In less than a month M and J will become man and wife and they are so excited to start their new life together. Everything about them is pretty from their cute historical home, art, design, furniture, clothes, shoes, and even their front porch.  That is where we started the session.  I mean its beautiful... overflowing with succulents that will be the center pieces at the wedding. The door way of their love nest if you will! The super relax session came with glasses of rose... I wish all my sessions served wine :) But I guess maybe that was why M gave me some amazing shots.  J, on the other hand just lied to me and said she wasn't photogenic, but me and my camera lens knows that she is a photographer's dream!  After some rose we headed to the beach and had fun!  As a photographer you have to set up your subjects in "poses" and just get ready to catch those in between moments. And this whole session was all about those in between moments! How come I get the coolest clients??? I was able to do my thing and be creative!  When I decided that photography was going to be more than just a hobby, I sweared that I was going to only photograph family and children.  But my first two engagement couples made me realized I am in "LOVE" with taking photos of couples who are madly in love!  
Bonus: the last three photos are so FUN!!!  M just being M!!!























Family of three.... not FOUR long!!!: San Diego and Orange County Family Photography


I can't tell you how much I'm obsessed with these images and this session!  Everything was perfect!  From the clothes, accessories, location, lighting and most importantly the love I felt when I was around the "E" family.  This location was the third location on our list. We had a few others, but weather and hours got in the way. Whats that saying.... "third time is a charm?"  Well it was!!!  We were at Old Poway Park in San Diego which I have never been to... so I came 30 minutes early to scope it out.  If you know me and my work I don't like to chase the same spots that others do... I scope out the untouched nooks and crannies where there is no or very little foot traffic. Well this was that nook!  It was tucked away from the park.. it was were all the offices/visiting center are. I love all the colors and the old barn look, it seems like we were somewhere back east New England maybe.  Enough about the location.... I love how the "E" family let me take the creative lead! I had a blast with them it was so relaxed and fun therefore I was able to capture those candid and magical moments!  And below are some of my FAVS... there were so many!!!!  Can't wait to get my hands and photograph the fourth member of the family soon. 







                                       

Crawler: Orange County children photographer

Wow I can't believe my love nugget is 7 months old... already????  Some parents say the hardest part are the first three months... I say the hardest part is now!!!  Teething, not sleeping as much, crawling and she just discovered her lungs and is using it!!! But I LOVE every minute of it!!!  It would not be as hard, but I have a crazy, active and smart for her age almost 3 year old!!!  LOL She wants to help with everything which is great, but on the other side of the coin it makes it harder.  But bless her heart for being the little girl she is!!!

Its moments like this were I am so blessed to call myself a photographer. Home session are the best!  Its the most comfortable for both the child and parents involved.  But what is most important is that you catch them in the moment...candid moments like this!  Words can not describe the feeling I get when parents sees photos like this... it makes me smiles from the inside out. Its so raw, pure, white background, empty space and a few water drops on his face telling us that he is the bath tub! I love what I do and this photo is one of the reasons why!

My heart skips a beat every time I look at her!  I know that I'm her mother and I don't want to sound like a snob... but Paisley is stunning and I'm just so jealous of her beauty. She is testing a new chair that I'll be using a photography prop and I just love it!!!  And its super comfortable too.  I have so many great ideas with this chair I can't wait to share them.  



Children Photography Orange County: Oh how fast they grow up!

You know the saying " they grow up so fast"?  Well it's true..it's true.  This kid is no stranger to my camera lens.  First of all his name is Alek... I'm sure you will get to see him grow up as you will see my girls grow up through pictures on this blog.  So he is turning 3 in the next couple months and these photos along with others I took in the Spring will act as invites and thank you cards.  Ok back to Alek his lashes will make you feel like you need to coat at least two more layers of mascara to compete with his... they are are so beautiful!  When you get him in the right mood like last night photo session he will model for you as if he was on the run way of Milan.  This kid is super cute and the pictures proves it!!! 








Children Photography Orange County: I'm six months old!!!

Olive turned 6 months old a few weeks ago and I finally just had the time to do a photo session with her.  She finally got her first taste of solid food. Rolling around like crazy, talking and making noise and most of all bringing joy into our lives. I love kids at this age!  They are discovering their body parts and doing really funny things i.e the top photo. My sister and I made the vintage fabric banner that was the background and I will be using in future girls photo sessions.  More to come of my little nugget's photo session! 



Family Photography Orange County: Soon to be a family of four!!

Every family should have a photographer on hand! I have known them for a couple of years now personally and through the camera lens. They wanted some family photos of the three of them before they become a family of four in the next three months.  We went to one of my favorite places to shoot, the lighting was great and almost had the whole area to ourselves.   I love how "vintage" the photos turned out... Yes!!! VINTAGE meaning not a ton of processing and letting the natural elements come through the photos like sun-flare. There were so many in-between moments during this session which I love! Even though this was not a pregnancy session I couldn't help but snap a few.
